8-31-15 Announcement
Good Monday morning. What a great start to the first week of school from Burton Independent School District! Everyone in their places with bright smiling faces!!! Thanks to all of our students, staff, parents, and the community for helping the transition from summer to “Back to School” go so smoothly.
Enrollment is up this school year as we finished up in May with 392 students. Currently we have 219 students in Elementary and 189 students in High School for a total of 408. Looks like folks are finding out about all of the good things happening in Burton Schools.
The PreK Panthers have been busy "sorting by color" this first week of school.  They have sorted dinosaurs, beads, unifix cubes, teddy bear counters, M&Ms, and Skittles.  After they sorted Skittles by color, they recorded the information to a paper where they colored the Skittles in the color groups.  Please stop by Burton Elementary and check out their awesome work on the PreK bulletin board.
Burton Panthers are going strong with football, cross country, and volleyball. Our cheerleaders and band are always there to support our athletes. Show your Burton spirit and pride as we prepare for some awesome competitions!!!
Today, we finish off August 2015. Hope yall have a happy September!

August 24, Welcome Back to Burton ISD!

August 24, 2015

Welcome back from Burton Independent School District, the best in the state!!!
We are excited to see our students show up this morning ready to participate in what we expect to be the best school year ever.
Our Elementary School has initiated a “Wild About Learning” theme to promote their educational ideas and our Junior High and High School are all about “Teamwork”. We want the message to go out that our staff is dedicated and committed to students and their school programs.
Burton ISD is prepared to provide the most appropriate and stimulating learning environment that will lead our students down a path of accountability and responsibility as it contributes to our community.
Wishing everyone a happy and successful school year!!! Go Panthers!
