First Day of School in Second Grade - Guest Post by Janette Mathis
Welcome to 2nd Grade!!!
2nd grade is off to a great start! In reading our theme for September is Neighborhood Visits. We will be reading about friends and family. In social studies we are studying characteristics of good citizens. We will also start looking at maps and globes. I am attaching some photos from the first day of school scavenger hunt. Instead of looking for things, we were looking for people! Some of the things we looked for were: who likes pizza, who is the tallest person in our class, who has a birthday in September, etc. The kids had a great time getting to learn things about each other!
